Damn The Diet

So I am almost back to normal (depending on your definition of normal). My voice has returned for the most part and spicy foods dont burn like crazy. At first it was an all-out binge fest. One night I nearly ate a whole bag of (chewy) cookies.

After "Pain Dieting" my way to losing 10lbs, it would be such a waste to binge those pounds back on. So its back to the diet again, and boy does it suck.

10 lbs lighter!

I have just started the most incredibly effective diet ever! Its called stop eating for a week.

This is not Anorexia, but just your standard case of getting your tonsils removed & not wanting to eat because OH MY GOD THE PAIN. Thats right kids, who had ever thought that given enough pain, your desire to eat drops to nill. I am not even missing food at this point. It actually has been only 6 days since my surgery, and I am up to eating things that are smooth and as chewable as say "overcooked rice". I have been forcing myself to try to eat more now that I am able to, but you know what. I really dont want to eat.

Ok, so pain isn't everything. In addition to a tonsillectomy & uvuloplasty, my doctor performed a "turbine reduction" taking away little bits of my inside sinuses for better breating. On day six, this means that I am still stuffy in the nose. No matter what I eat (ice cream for example) its just a mushy tasteless pile of goo ( I might as well eat overcooked rice ).

I do wonder what the overall affect of this crash diet from hell will be. I am guessing I will gain almost half of it back once I start nourishing myself. I do like the idea that I am finally below 200 again; something that I haven't been able to do for six years.

The Manorexic Experiment Part Deux

I'm back!
